Master of Arts in Sport Leadership
The Master of Arts in Sport Leadership degree is a 33-credit program with three tracks of study: experimental and adventure activities, coaching, and sport management.
The experimental and adventure activities track helps candidates develop leadership abilities in careers based in a nonacademic recreation environment. The coaching track is made up of four courses. The Wesley College Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is awarded to those students who complete 2 core classes and 3 of the coaching track courses. Those who wish to work in a sport-related industry would benefit most from the sport management track, which includes courses in finance, governance, promotion, management, communication, organization and administration.
The goal of all three tracks is to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed for advancement within their chosen sport-related career or to change to a career in the sports industry. Students will learn how to be leaders in their field as well as how to both coach and manage.
