Professional in Human Services Resources Certification

The PHR® certification prepares students for careers as a Human Resources Manager/Director, Human Resources Recruiter, Human Resource Policy Writer, Human Resource Administrator or Trainer. The PHR® certification is industry neutral and covers the fields of Information Technology, Health Care, Construction, Engineering, Business and Administrative Operations. Becoming PHR® certified is an asset to any professional in the human resources field, with a salary for certified human resource managers and directors that can be upwards of $100,000 annually.

Our Online Professional in Human Resources Course introduces learners to the technical and operational aspects of human resource practices, U.S, law and regulation, as outlined by the HR Certification Institute’s (HRCI) Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) Body of Knowledge. Enrollment into the Online Professional in Human Resources Course gives students full access to the entire Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) Body of Knowledge functional areas, provides assessment questions at the end of each module and a comprehensive assessment at the end of the entire course. Upon full completion of the Online Professional in Human Resources Course students will also receive a “Towson University Center of Professional Studies Certificate of Completion,” that awards the student with 120 contact hours and 12 Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

This program is unique in that it provides students a well-grounded social-science degree with a strong leadership component. The program will allow working criminal-justice professionals to earn their degrees while still being able to work the shift rotations or irregular hours often associated with jobs in the field.
