Master of Arts in Psychology
The Master of Arts in Psychology program at Touro University Worldwide was developed to develop students’ knowledge and discipline in psychology, preparing them for a wide variety of professions and contexts. Topics covered in the program’s coursework include: research methods, cognitive psychology, social psychology, personality, learning theory and ethical practice in psychology. The program emphasizes practical application of psychological research to real-world contexts in order to develop skills relevant to a students’ field of work.
Students work through case studies that are relevant to psychological theories and methods to help sharpen their skills. Graduates of the program will be prepared to pursue a doctorate degree in Psychology or a career in a variety of fields. Graduates will gain knowledge of theories related to consumer behavior, and how to compile data from research. Graduates will also learn business concepts, such as segmentation, and how to develop a strategic marketing plan using psychologically-based market research.
