The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), located in between Princeton and Trenton in suburban Ewing, N.J., was founded in 1855 as the first teacher training school in New Jersey (and the ninth in the nation).

It is rated the number one public institution in the northern region of the country by U.S. News and World Report. TCNJ offers a number of graduate degrees, including the Master of Education, to meet the needs of working professionals who need learning convenience and schedule flexibility.

TCNJ has partnered with Regional Training Center (RTC) since 2000 to offer the Master of Education (MEd) degree and other graduate professional development coursework to certified K-12 teachers throughout New Jersey at on- and off-campus sites.

The College of New Jersey and Regional Training Center also offers teacher education courses online. TCNJ/RTC online courses are degree applicable and/or may be applied by teachers towards New Jersey professional development credit and advancement on their salary guide.
