CAPTURE: The Psychology program is designed to help students develop theoretical and applied understanding of individual and social behavior. BENEFITS: The Psychology program prepares students for graduate training in Psychology as well as preparing them to enter social service, mental health, corrections, business, and other similar professions. SKILLS: Courses in this program emphasize writing, critical thinking and research. This program provides students with the skills necessary to advance in today’s dynamic professional landscape. QUALITY AND CONVENIENCE: This program helps students in develop skills related to the study of psychology by presenting concepts and theories, and then assisting students in the implementation of these theories. GROWTH POTENTIAL: Students will develop their knowledge base and then apply it through counseling and research opportunities. JOBS OPPORTUNITIES: A Psychology degree is appropriate for students who plan to enter social services, business, or continue their education with graduate studies. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Psychology program began in 1993 and has grown dramatically since that time. Psychology can be considered a hybrid discipline in that it utilizes scientific analysis and methodologies similar to the physical and biological sciences, and incorporates rational philosophies common to the humanities.
