Secondary Education Licensure
The online Secondary Education Program at King University enables students to achieve licensure in one of ten Tennessee approved programs for licensure. Students that finish the program will gain experience in several important areas including classroom management, teaching and learning skills, and assessment strategies.
King’s online program is designed to be flexible and accelerated. The program can be completed with a full- time or part-time commitment and allows students to complete their field experience hours at their own convenience. A full-time student can complete the program in as little as 16 months.
Students must complete an academic major to be eligible for the Secondary Education Licensure Program. The specifications for licensure in one of the ten Tennessee approved licensure programs may require students to complete additional coursework. The list of Tennessee approved licensure programs include: Biology, English, French, Chemistry, Geography/History, Government/History, History, Mathematics, Spanish, and Physics.
