Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
Master of Theological Studies
The Master of Theological Studies (MTS) at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary is a two-year degree designed to provide graduate-level training in Bible, history and theology.
The MTS degree is formatted to meet basic theological needs for effective service, primarily in volunteer positions. The program helps students establish a foundation for volunteer leadership within the church and serves as a stepping-stone for a professional ministry degree.
The MTS degree provides the basic understanding of the theological disciplines for personal enrichment, ministry enhancement and further graduate study. After earning the Master of Theological Studies, graduates are able to demonstrate competent skills in interpretation of the scriptures, articulate a theological and historical understanding of the Christian faith, and communicate the Christian faith.
The prerequisite for the MTS program is a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution.
