Brescia University, through its STARS Program (Success Tracks for Adults Returning to School) offers an accelerated online certificate completion program in accounting that can fit the need of anyone interested in studying accounting. Academic certificate programs at Brescia are designed for persons who wish to enhance professional development or employment opportunities.

The certificate in accountingcompletion program allows you to:

  • Satisfy the educational requirements needed to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam
  • Gain the knowledge to seek employment opportunities in accounting-related careers
  • Earn transfers credits to apply to your current college program

People with accounting experience can obtain the following jobs:

  • Staff or payroll accountant
  • Government auditor
  • Business manager
  • Tax and financial adviser
  • Financial/budget analyst
  • Business owner
    along with many additional options

Non-Certificate Students:

Students can also enroll to take just the accounting courses and not enter the program.You can choose to take any or all of the accounting courses without attaining a certificate, but to be eligible for the STARS discounted tuition rate, you must be enrolled in the certificate program.

Requirements for the Certificate in Accounting:

  1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  2. A 2.5 cumulative grade point average

Students can also enroll to take just the accounting courses and not enter the program.

Students who choose to apply for the Online Certificate in Accounting Completion Program may be eligible for financial aid, and those that are accepted to Brescia University as STARS students are eligible for the reduced STARS tuition rate.
