The Bachelor of Arts in Theology with Emphasis in Pastoral Studies Degree Completion Program is designed to provide an efficient and high quality education for those preparing to serve the Church in the fast growing vocations of Lay Ecclesial Ministry and the Diaconate. This online degree completion opportunity provides an avenue for church volunteers and lay ministers who are or wish to become Directors of Religious Education, Youth Ministers, or Pastoral Associates.

(Program Requirements - Brescia University's degree completion programs require each student to have completed 45 credit hours at an accredited school.)

The Bachelor of Arts in Theology with Emphasis in Pastoral Studies Program provides degree seeking students an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding in the fields of theology and pastoral ministry. In addition, Brescia University has designed and delivered two dioceses --education and formation programs which adhere to the competency expectations of the National Association of Lay Ministry (NALM) and the "Basic Standards of Readiness" as articulated in the National Directory for the Formation, Ministry and Life of Permanent Deacons in the United States. Additionally, nontraditional students taking the courses for general education requirement (GER) credit will gain a basic understanding of Catholic theology.

The Bachelor of Arts in Theology with Emphasis in Pastoral Studies Program at Brescia University offers lay ministers, deacons and deacon candidates in the Roman Catholic Church the following:
