Officials at Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire, recently announced the launch of two new masters in business administration online degree programs, reports the Nashua Telegraph.
Aimed primarily at working professionals who wish to advance their careers through online learning, the two specialized masters in business administration online degree programs will be offered in healthcare administration and information technology management. Both online masters degree programs consist of 36 credits, and teach students core business modules as well as specialized course content relating to the two areas of study.
“Our target market for these programs is working professionals who benefit tremendously from an online delivery,” Monika Bissell, the college’s director of online education, told the newspaper. “By offering this format, we can allow them the flexibility that their work and home lives demand and provide them a quality education that will enable them to be assets in their respective industries.”
Whether delivered online or in traditional classroom-based lectures, specialized master of business administration degree programs are becoming increasingly popular. According to data from the Graduate Management Admission Council, 69 percent of higher education establishments saw an increase in applications to their specialized management degree programs in 2011.
